Gabriella Bettiga

Director of MGBe Legal

I founded MGBe Legal, a firm regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA), with the mission to provide high-quality, simplified, and accessible legal services to clients from all walks of life.

Credentials and Expertise:

I hold an LLM from the University of London, SOAS, with a focus on Immigration, Human Rights, and Islamic Law. My extensive experience encompasses British nationality law, business and private immigration, as well as asylum applications and appeals.

As an Advanced Caseworker accredited with the Law Society's Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme (IAAS) and a Level 3 IAA advisor, I am committed to offering expert legal advice. Additionally, I serve as a member of the Tribunal Procedure Committee, where I contribute to the development and improvement of tribunal procedure rules. While our firm’s regulator is the Immigration Advice Authority, personally I am also a solicitor in England and Wales and a qualified lawyer in Italy.

Professional Contributions:

Beyond my legal practice, I am a trustee at the Immigration Law Practitioners' Association (ILPA). Among others, I served as Chair of the Independent Cost and Funding Adjudicators at the Legal Aid Agency and my active participation in various professional bodies and committees underscores my dedication to the field of immigration law.

Training and Thought Leadership :

I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and expertise with others. I regularly deliver training courses on immigration law, both nationally and internationally, to educate and inform fellow practitioners and the wider community. My articles and insights have been featured in numerous highly regarded publications, reflecting my commitment to thought leadership in the field. I have been a pro-bono consultant for the training component of EURO-EXPERT, where I contributed to the development of cultural expertise in Europe. I also deliver training with ILPA, HJT and DG Legal and I publish articles on immigration for Free Movement and Londra Italia, among other publications. I regularly contribute to the Law Society's training programs, ensuring that my sessions are comprehensive, up-to-date, and accessible to a broad audience.

Why MGBe Legal?

I believe in being available to my clients, providing personalised support, and ensuring they receive the best possible advice and representation. Whether navigating the complexities of immigration law, securing business visas, or assisting with British citizenship applications, my goal is to ensure that each client receives tailored, valuable and effective legal support.
